Preheating and temperature controls
The production of metals uses different types of containers (ladles, crucibles, pouring channels, tundishes…) to transfer the molten metal during the various pouring phases.
The oxy-combustion ladle preheating systems, specially studied for individual applications, ensure:
- more rapid heating of the refractory cladding compared with traditional air systems
- higher preheating temperatures
- fuel saving
- greater fluidity of the metal during tapping with better quality of thecastings produced
- a reduction in the amount of waste
