Metal brazing
Brazing is a metal-joining process that uses a filler alloy, with heating to a temperature lower than that of its melting point.
A fundamental parameter in the process is wetting, which is ensured by using gaseous atmospheres as reducing agents based on hydrogen and with a controlled water content.
SOL supplies nitrogen and hydrogen, plant for stock age, distribution and mixing, usage technology and specialist support depending on the materials to braze and the processes used.
The consultancy support offered starts from the definition of the characteristics of the best reducing gas mixture needed for the customer’s specific process (composition, pressure, flow and type of gas), control of the atmosphere (hydrogen analysis, dew point, residual oxygen), and a chemical and metallurgical analysis service. It supplies all the information needed for efficient and effective brazing operations, optimising costs and respecting the relevant regulations.
